                                  PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
Our Chapter was founded during the mid-1990's to serve the needs of emerging defense and industry technologists who were supporting unmanned systems development.  Our region includes the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and NASA and 18 local municipalities that comprise Hampton Roads.    Our growing base includes members from academia,  industry, and local governments.  We reach from Northeast North Carolina, to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, to Richmond.

If you are not already a part of our chapter I encourage you join us as we expand our unmanned systems-related activities in our region.  We intend to leverage our existing capabilities to encourage unmanned systems industry growth along with promoting and growing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics robotics programs in our schools.  I hope to see you soon!

- Dan
