Frederick it states in the first line that it was "prerecorded"
I would like to have seen more on the navigation and positioning system used. I can guess that it wasn't GPS and can guess what it was but I haven't seen any articles on it yet.

This story states that: "300 Intel ‘Shooting Star’ drones were used during the halftime show at Super Bowl 51 on Sunday, February 5." Other sources are saying that the swarm was filmed earlier during the week because of FAA regulations, the potential for bad weather, etc.. Certainly AUVSI should be able to accurately confirm the details of the event.
