What is the AAM Summit and why should I attend?

The AAM Summit, co-hosted by FAA and AUVSI, is an in-person, 1.5-day summit allowing attendees to engage directly with FAA officials and advanced air mobility stakeholders. The program includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops as well as networking breaks that will allow attendees to connect with their peers and FAA leadership. Discussions will focus on policy and technology issues that are needed to enable safe, accessible, automated, and affordable air transportation systems.

When does this event take place?

The 2023 AAM Summit will take place on Wednesday, August 2, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Thursday, August 3, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Where does this event take place?

The AAM Summit will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Who attends the AAM Summit?

The AAM Summit brings industry, government, venture capitalists, technologists, policy professionals and community stakeholders face-to-face with the regulators who are enabling automated aircraft integration into urban environments. The Summit is an unrivaled opportunity to learn, train and troubleshoot with the entire AAM community to ensure your operations remain safe and grow along with regulations.

How much does it cost to attend the AAM Summit?

Registration for the AAM Summit is listed below, with special rates available for Government, Military, Educator, and Public Safety professionals, as well as students. There is special bundle pricing for registrants attending both the FAA Drone Symposium being held August 1-2 and the AAM Summit.

*Early Bird pricing is valid until June 25, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET. Standard pricing goes into effect June 26, 2023, at 12:00 PM ET.

Why is there a registration fee to participate?

Registration fees are necessary to produce a high-quality and productive event and reflect the resources required to support the planning and management of the Summit. The Summit is 1.5 days of programming to educate and inform stakeholders throughout the AAM industry about the rules, regulations, and best practices for operating safely and securely in the airspace. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for registered attendees.

Do FAA employees attend the Summit and pay the same fees?

Federal laws and Presidential directives in place since Fiscal Year 2012 require agencies to control and report on the costs associated with conferences and meetings. The conference event package for the AAM Summit authorizes FAA employees to attend the event. This authorization excludes speakers and staff assigned to work on specific elements of the event. The FAA will pay a government rate for each of these employees using funding allocated to the employee’s line of business or staff offices. Employees were selected by their line of business or staff office. Employees not selected can pay the registration fee using personal funds and be in leave status.

Does anyone attend the Summit at no charge?

Everyone attending the AAM Summit must pay the registration fee. Discounted rates have been established for the following categories: Government, Military, Public Safety, and Students. Contractors do not qualify as government employees and must pay the Industry rate.

There is no deadline to register, though the best pricing to attend is available at the Early Bird rate until June 25, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET.
